: Mon fabuleux destin... Ma vie en France (on rêve d'Amélie... hihi...), Marianne's Adventures in France, Have you seen my scars?!, No Man's Land... et Now There Are Only 2 Things Left To Do....

" What is with the dogs in this country?
I was in the beautiful city of Tours the other day (chateaux country) and this girl was walking one horse of a dog (some sort of rottweiler) and it shit the biggest shit I have ever seen (like 2ft tall) only a few feet from me. After the dog finished squeezing it out, they walked off leaving this massive shit, literally steaming on the sidewalk. People do that all the time here, and very non chalantly too. In Paris, they have these little machines to pick up the dog poo called "Moto crotte" (crotte means shit) and it is now a 1000 euro fine if they catch you not stooping and scooping. In Arras, every park has a little fenced off area with a picture of a dog so just for shitting. Normally though they have these little ankle bitters, glorified squirels really. They take their dog everywhere, I once saw an old woman in a nice restaurant with her two poodles on either side of her, they were eating off her plate. Some women even have purses that they put their dogs in."
