@ In memoriam... In the memory of... Greg Guidry
I dedicate all the writing of this blog to my missing friend and favorite artist of all time Gregory M. Guidry, amazing music artist who died tragically near Nashville, TN on July 31st, 2003.
Greg, you know what I was more than your manager in Europe.
Greg, wherever you are, you know I have told you times and times : "You have the voice an angel" (and a magical piano player) and i was so proud you were on the line-up of the Westcoast Music Festival at Disneyland Paris during the 90s'. I know it was one of your dearest dreams to reach live your fan audience in our continent.
Thank you a million times for all the joy and love your have brought to this world and to your fans.
"Guidry, who entered music publishing in 1977, had a hit single in 1982 called Goin' Down, which reached the top 10 on adult contemporary charts, according to several music Web sites.
He sang with Michael McDonald and the Allman Brothers Band.
Among his other songwriting credits were co-writer of In It For Love, recorded by England Dan and John Ford Coley, and All This Time, recorded by Reba McEntire.
Guidry's independent solo albums included Private Sessions and Soul'd Out, which he recently was marketing in Europe and Japan. At the time of his death he was organizing a national tour with singer Christopher Cross."

All my condolences to Cindy, Theo and Candice. To your sisters Sandy and Cathy.
"And I'm goin down for the last time.
Goin down out of my mind
Love is coming over me, over me yeah..."

Goin' Down (words and music: Greg Guidry, David Martin)
